For promoters

Host a sanctioned event.

At the Rib Cook Off Association, our mission is to work hand in hand with promoters like you to organize events that elevate the sport of BBQ ribs and create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for the communities that host them.

Book your date

Why host an RCOA contest?

Whether it's an add-on to your festival or a draw for your business, a sanctioned rib cook-off brings smoke, flavour and a crowd.

  • It's a one-day event

Everything happens in a single day, from load in to awards, so it slots easily into a weekend, fair or festival.

  • Easy setup and takedown

Teams bring their own pits and gear. You provide the space, and an RCOA rep runs the judging and scoring by the rules.

  • Brings people in

Cook teams, their families and BBQ fans show up, stay longer and come back hungry.

  • A great add-on

Pair it with a festival, car show, brewery day, fair or community event to give people another reason to come.

  • Good for business

Restaurants, breweries and venues get foot traffic, social buzz and new faces through the door.

  • Official and sanctioned

Teams earn official RCOA points at your contest, which draws serious cooks from across the region.

Simple, transparent pricing

One booking covers official sanctioning and your event representative. No surprises.
