RCOA Canada Representative Certification

Become an official representative of the Rib Cook Off Association Canada and help make sure sanctioned events are delivered with consistency, professionalism and integrity.

RCOA Canada Representatives play a critical role in supporting event organizers, cooks, judges and volunteers while upholding the standards that make sanctioned competition meaningful across Canada.

What we expect from reps

• Act professionally at all sanctioned events
• Uphold RCOA Canada rules, standards and procedures
• Support event organizers before and during competitions
• Assist cooks, judges, volunteers and event staff when needed
• Promote fairness, consistency and sportsmanship
• Keep accurate event records and reporting
• Serve as ambassadors for RCOA Canada and the competitive BBQ community
• Take part in ongoing training and annual certification renewal

Good to know

Certification confirms you've met the requirements to represent RCOA Canada and may be considered for sanctioned event assignments. It doesn't guarantee placement at events or paid opportunities. Reps are selected based on experience, availability, location and event needs.

As RCOA Canada launches its national sanctioning program, certified reps in the 2026 Founding Representative Program will help shape the standards, procedures and culture of sanctioned rib cook-offs across Canada.
